El ajustado traje negro de Serena Williams no va más en Roland Garros

Serena Williams no podrá usar otra vez el ajustado traje negro en el Abierto de Francia.

El presidente de la Federación Francia de tenis, Bernard Giudicelli, dijo que el torneo que  Serna Williams ha ganado tres veces estrenará un código de indumentaria para regular la vestimenta de los jugadores porque “creo que a veces hemos llegado muy lejos”.

En una entrevista para la edición número 500 de la revista Tennis, Giudicelli apuntó al traje posparto que Williams lució este año en Roland Garros y que la estadounidense señaló le hizo sentir como una superhéroe.

“No será aceptado. Hay que respetar el deporte y el lugar”, dijo Giudicelli.

Añadió que las nuevas reglas en Roland Garros no serán tan estrictas como las de Wimbledon, que requieren que los jugadores se vistan de blanco, pero “impondremos ciertos límites”.

“You have to respect the game and the place”. Those were the loaded, sexist and racist words of Bernard Giudicelli. According to him, Serena’s outfit from the 2018 French Open will be banned. Apparently her body is disrespectful and a tennis court is no the place for it, since her curves were the only thing on display with this outfit. In how many ways are they going to go after one person? She commented earlier this year about being drug tested more than anyone else in the sport. Serena Williams banned from wearing 'Black Panther' catsuit at future French Opens, says tournament chief. . . In a surprising piece of criticism on the eve of the US Open, the French Open president Bernard Giudicelli has said Williams – and other players – will need to be more conservative at future editions of the tournament. Speaking to Tennis Magazine, Giudicelli said: “It’s a bit late because the collections are already designed but we are going to nonetheless ask the manufacturers to let us know what is coming. “I believe we have sometimes gone too far. Serena’s outfit this year, for example, would no longer be accepted. You have to respect the game and the place.” . .
